Special Events, Info Booth and Kitchen Manager (Full-Time) 

The purpose of this combined position is to lead the Special Events, Information Booth and Kitchen departments. 

Experience, Knowledge and Ability Required:

•Ability to use Planning Center Apps.
•Writing and editing experience
•Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Experience managing volunteers
•General knowledge of design and décor for events
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
•Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges and ideas
•Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs and offer creative solutions
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:           

Special Events:

•Responsible for the coordination of all LifeChurch-Mundo de Fe special events.
•Assist with planning and implementing creative ideas for events and services under direction of pastoral oversight – Pastors Rolando and Holly Carrizales
•Coordinate and implement set ups and décor for Special Events (including conferences, retreats, Christmas, Easter, etc.)
•Communicate and organize volunteers for Special Events.
•Maintain updated database of Special event volunteer team using PCO.
•Store and maintain all linens appropriately including dry cleaning after events.
•Store and organize all decorations and supplies.
•Be present during volunteer set up and décor for events.
•Coordinate breakdown and clean up after every special event.
•Responsible managing resources, merchandise and products for sale during events and conferences as well as inventory, deposits and product orders.
•Form a team of volunteers to assist with product and resource sales during services, conferences, and other events. 

Facilities Rentals:

•Responsible for receiving, approving and scheduling facility rentals.
•Provide quotes for inquiries about renting the church’s facilities.
•Coordinate with volunteers/ministries in scheduling non-service events requests such as baby showers, birthdays, bridal showers, weddings, etc.
•Be available when necessary during rental events. 

Information Booth:

•Responsible for all functions taken place at information booth during services.
•Develop and coordinate a team of volunteers to assist at info booth at services and events.
•Provide helpful and accurate information to people approaching info booth.
•Maintain a clean and professional area at and around info booth.
•Prepare materials needed at info booth.
•Prepare and submit reports of information booth activity for pastoral oversight. 

Kitchen Manager:

•Responsible for all activities related to kitchen ministry.
•Purchase of kitchen supplies for volunteer teams and staff use.
•Make sure kitchen supplies are restocked on a weekly basis.
•Communicate with kitchen teams on a weekly basis to coordinate schedules, deposits, and cash-advances, supplies order.
•Schedule maintenance and repairs of kitchen equipment, keeping kitchen area clean and organized.
•Responsible for maintaining kitchen in compliance with City and State codes.
•Responsible for organizing and restocking Food Pantry storage.
•Responsible for ordering and facilitating meals for pastoral team.
•Responsible for restocking senior pastors beverages and snacks on a weekly basis.

Friday             Off (unless required to work for a special event or rental event)

Special Event Child Care Job Description

 

Overview:

LifeChurch – Mundo de Fe is looking for individuals as part of its Special Event Child Care to provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to the children (birth – 5th grade) for special events and church activities.

 

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, sitting with, and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, crafts and play.

•Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.

•Arrive 30 minutes prior to start of event when childcare is needed.

•Stay until all children are secured with the adult who dropped them off, or who is listed on the child’s registration form.

•Straighten room and clean any used toys/cribs before leaving. In addition, abide by toy cleaning assignments provided by supervisor.

•Abide by the childcare policies and classroom expectations. 

•Communicate in advance, by phone, to supervisor any absences, following procedure:

·      Planned absences must be given two weeks ahead of time.

·      In case of last-minute illness, he or she must contact supervisor by phone at least two hours prior to his or her shift so a replacement may be found.

·      Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

•Experience in caring for children between the ages 0-5th grade with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities/characteristics.

•18 years of age or older.

•Satisfactory completion of background check and physical test.

 

*Schedule and Activities:

Monday 6:30pm – 9:30pm, Thursday 6:30pm – 9:30pm.

Special Events as needed (Women’s conferences, Women’s breakfasts, Trainings, Bible Studies, other church conferences and activities)

* Schedule is subject to change. Hours may vary depending on length of classes, rehearsals and other church activities throughout the year.

 

*Pay: starting at $10/hr.
